Volunteer with First Nation’s Response

Volunteers is a core element of what makes First Nation’s Response so successful.

We pride ourselves on creating a safe and dignified environment to support our community.

Volunteers support FNR in many ways - from supporting our weekly food services to working behind the scenes.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch.

Volunteer Opportunities

Weekly Food Service Pop Ups

Our weekly food service pop-ups provide a culturally safe space for community to connect, and collect produce and household items.

By volunteering to help with our pop-ups, you ensure we can continue to deliver a critical service to our community.

Pop-ups currently run every Tuesday during public school term in Redfern.

Markets

During school term we travel to Flemington Markets to select high quality produce for our community.

We need help on a Monday to collect from the markets and sort at our hub in Marrickville for our services.

Deliveries

We deliver to our partner organisations and Elders each week on a Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm.

Please note that this is a specialised program that requires additional training. We also require you to have a valid unrestricted drivers licence.

Special Events

Throughout the year we need extra volunteers (for example to pack Christmas hampers), participate in special events or partner with other local organisations to support them.

Other Skills

Are you a great grant writer? A social media whiz? An amazing event planner? We’re always looking for skilled volunteers, and would love to hear from you.
